How to Remove the Wax Coating on Apples from the Grocery Store.
Here is a trick for removing the wax coating that is on the apples that you get from the grocery (organic apples do not contain the wax coatings but if you can’t or don’t get organic here is how you can remove it): First off there are two ways to remove it, one is to gently remove the peel off of the apple, do this carefully because there are nutrients just under the peel. If you want to leave the peel on since there are even more nutrients with the peel left intact, this is what you can do: Rinse each apple in lukewarm water and remove dirt and debris using your fingers or with a fruit/vegetable brush. Mix 1 tablespoon of cider vinegar and 1 tablespoon of baking soda per gallon of water then dunk the apples into mixture and scrub some more. Rinse the apples again in lukewarm water and dry them with a paper towel. Until next time! x Lady L
